Joanna Lumley has been an actress on British television for more than 30 years having starred in programmes including The New Avengers and Sapphire and Steel. But she is probably most widely known for her outrageous portrayal as a neurotic fashion director in the television series Absolutely Fabulous. The former model has also had success on the big screen playing roles in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service and Shirley Valentine. Joanna is a prominent human rights and animal welfare supporter and was awarded an OBE in 1995, as well as honorary doctorates and degrees from the University of St. Andrews and Queen’s University Belfast.
