GP Taylor was born to deaf parents and grew up in Scarborough in a house with no books - and has gone on to become a best-selling author described as the “new CS Lewis”. He began his career as a record industry promoter in London before returning to Yorkshire to serve in the police force. He was later ordained by the Church of England and became a parish priest before turning his passion of writing into a reality when he penned and self-published the best-selling Shadowmancer in 2003.
