Jonny Wilkinson is a professional England rugby union player who rose to stardom when he helped England win the Rugby World Cup in 2003. He was acknowledged as one of the games’ best players, and was crowned IRB World Player of the Year. That same year he was awarded an MBE, which was extended to an OBE in 2004.
