Ade Adepitan is a former paralympian wheelchair basketball player who has enjoyed international success taking gold at the 2005 Paralympic World Cup and bronze as part of team GB at the 2004 Paralympics in Athens. In the 2005 Queen’s Birthday Honours Ade was awarded an MBE for his contribution to sport. He holds an Honorary Doctorate from Loughborough University in recognition of his services to disabled sport. Ade is also a television presenter, sports commentator and a campaigner against racism and disability discrimination.
