The other ducklings are unkind to the new arrival and don’t want to play with him, so the ugly duckling decides to waddle off to see if he can find better friends elsewhere.

But as time passes the ugly duckling doesn’t realise that his appearance is changing until his old friends show him how beautiful he now is!
