"Stories help us to make sense of our lives but to one group of children they are often inaccessible - the deaf. Pictures help to tell stories - but not many picture books exist specifically for these children.
That is why Signed Stories is so important. It will bring all kinds of stories to life in a special way that everyone can enjoy. Be sure to tune in."
Joyce Dunbar is profoundly deaf with best-sellers including 'Tell Me Something Happy Before I Go To Sleep', 'Mouse and Mole' and 'This is the Star'. In 2005 she teamed up with her illustrator daughter Polly for award-winning book 'Shoe Baby'. Joyce taught English for 20 years before becoming a fulltime writer in 1989 and her books have been translated into many languages including British Sign Language.
