Sir Trevor McDonald is a Trinidadian-born British journalist and television presenter for ITN and is noted for being the first black news reader in the UK. He became one of the best known faces on British television screens presenting news programmes including News at Ten and Tonight with Trevor McDonald. Winning more awards than any other British broadcaster, McDonald received an OBE in 1992 and was knighted in 1999.
