Bookstart

Bookstart is a national programme in the UK that encourages parents and carers to enjoy books with children from as early an age as possible.

Bookshine packs from Bookstart offer free books and information specifically produced for deaf children – it includes a touch and feel pack, and a book featuring simple BSL and an image of a child with a hearing aid as it is important that deaf children see themselves in books.
